It is a mechanical device used to transform powder material into tablets of the same shape and size.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The machine can also be called tablet compression machine, pill pressing machine, tablet punching machine or tablet making machine.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The tablet press machine has two punches and a die.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

These can be single station or multi-station, depending on the type of machine.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Principle of operation<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

In the rotary tablet press machine, the formation of tablets takes place in three stages;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Shim;<\/strong> The filling process in tablet formation involves transferring raw materials to the position for tablet compression.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    In this case, the materials are processed prior to filling, making them suitable for tablet formation, and the tablet is fed into the press machine, where it flows directly into the punch-die cavity for compression.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Compression;<\/strong> When the mold cavity is filled, the process needs to be measured by removing the excess granulation from the machine. This is only to allow the correct volume of granulation to be compressed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      After removing the overfilled granulation, the material is compressed by the pressure of the upper and lower punches to form tablets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
